FirstDigital’s National MPLS Allows Companies With Multiple Locations Across the Country to Connect Through One Private Secure Network

PROVO, Utah – May 21, 2013 – FirstDigital, a leading Utah telecommunications provider, announced the launch of its new national Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), which is a customizable telecommunication system designed to integrate companies with multiple locations throughout the United States under one secure private network.
FirstDigital’s new national MPLS rollout comes several months after an aggressive initial phase with multiple Utah companies, including Workers Compensation Fund, AccessData, Okland Construction, Standard Plumbing and Clyde Companies. With the rollout, this service is now available to all Utah businesses.

“Reliable telecommunication services that provide multi-office integration and secure network capabilities are critical to businesses that operate out of several locations,” said Drew Peterson, FirstDigital chief executive officer. “Instead of a standardized system, we wanted to develop a national MPLS service that allows us to customize telecommunication solutions to better meet the needs of our clients. We can provide this service over multiple means of connectivity like T-1, fiber, Ethernet over copper and even DSL. That makes our MPLS/VPLS product so much more appealing and affordable.”

FirstDigital’s development of customized managed solutions separates it from other telecommunication providers. For example, FirstDigital’s national MPLS supports the most advanced Quality of Service (QoS) technologies, which allow companies to prioritize their phone calls over their data connection to improve voice quality on a digital line. Management of this product can be done remotely utilizing state-of-the-art Cisco equipment, saving businesses time and money on deploying equipment at each location.

Additionally, FirstDigital’s network design includes multiple network-to-network interface connections with the largest local loop providers in the nation, which allows for efficient cross-platform integration. The design enables FirstDigital to deliver the most stable and complete MPLS solution in the industry. It also allows FirstDigital to offer the most competitive pricing by shopping multiple national local loop providers.

“Having more than 65 locations spread over eight states has taught us how critical it is to have a network service provider that can work with us as a partner,” said a network and system administrator from Standard Plumbing. “No matter the hour of the day, or day of the week, FirstDigital has been a partnership we can always count on for quality support and reliable service.”
